Accomplishments
Lisa has been practicing law for over 30 years. She graduated from WVU Law School in 1991 and started her law career the under the Governor Caperton administration.
She served 12 years with Goodwin & Goodwin.
Next she went to the West Virginia Supreme Court as Director of the Family Court System for all 55 counties.
Implemented a “Time Standard Protocol” for completing cases.
Helped to develop the Domestic Violence Registry that has received state and federal awards.
She is considered a leading expert that helps to train law enforcement, domestic violence advocates, judges, magistrates and attorneys throughout the state.
She is currently the Director of Court Services for the
WV Supreme Court.
In this position she developed the victim outreach project that allows victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to obtain protection orders via remote process instead of appearing in court. This program received the Visionary Voice Award from the WV Foundation for Rape Information Services.
Lisa is responsible for over 1000 judicial officers, judicial employees, circuit clerks and deputy clerks in all 55 counties. She provides support and training in legal processes and procedures.
